Guide · Your website
Does a card shop need its own website?
Probably not a big one. Most people who look up a card shop want to know three things: are you open, do you have the card, and will you hold it for me. Foil Haven's $10-a-month site answers exactly those, from your live inventory.

What should a card shop website actually do?
Show your hours and where you are. Show what's in the case, with condition and price, and keep it true, because a website that lists a card you sold on Tuesday sends someone on a wasted drive. Let people hold a card so they come in to buy it. Tell regulars what's happening this week.
A full online store with shipping is a different business: packing, postage, returns, and competing with the marketplaces on price. Plenty of shops are better off without it.
Your options
How do card shops usually get a website?
- Shopify. Basic is $39 a month billed monthly ($29 billed yearly), with online card payments at 2.9% + 30¢. A real store with checkout, but you build and maintain the card catalog, or add a card system on top. BinderPOS requires it.
- Square Online.Has a free plan; connecting your own domain needs a paid one. Like Shopify, it doesn't know what a Near Mint Lightning Bolt is.
- TCGplayer Pro Website. A customizable storefront, open to Level 4 TCGplayer sellers who aren't synced through another platform.
- CrystalCommerce. A webstore comes with the $99-a-month plan, after a $599 setup fee, with 2.5% of online sales.
- A Facebook page or Google Business Profile. Free, and fine for hours and events, but neither shows your live stock on its own.
Prices from each company's own site, read September 27, 2026.
Where we fit
What do you get with the $10 Foil Haven site?
A site at yourstore.stores.foilhaven.com with your logo, color, words and hours. Customers browse your live stock and open a page for each card with its condition and price, straight from your Foil Haven inventory, so a card that sells at the counter disappears from the site.
They reserve a card for pickup. You hold it for three days, they pay at the counter, and ringing up the sale clears the hold. Holds nobody collects expire on their own.
Your news posts show on the site. Customers can sign in with an emailed link, no password, to see their store credit, their holds and their event sign-ups. On Growth and Pro you can also email customers who opted in and publish event leaderboards.
It works on any plan, including the free one. Pair it with the free buylist and item-level inventory and the whole front of the shop runs on one system.
What won't the Foil Haven site do?
It has no checkout and no shipping; every sale finishes at your counter. It's one fixed design, not a page builder. And your own domain name isn't switched on yet, so the address is a foilhaven.com one for now.
Questions about a card shop website
How much does a Foil Haven store website cost?
$10 a month, added to any plan, including the free Counter plan. There's no setup fee and no percentage of sales.
Can customers buy cards online on the Foil Haven site?
Not with a checkout. Customers reserve a card for pickup, the card is held for three days, and they pay at the counter. Ringing up the sale on the register clears the hold. If you need shipping and online payment, the optional Shopify connection or TCGplayer are the routes for that.
Can I use my own domain name?
Not yet. The site lives at yourstore.stores.foilhaven.com. Connecting your own domain is built but not switched on yet.
Do I need Shopify to have a Foil Haven website?
No. The site reads your Foil Haven inventory directly. Shopify is optional and separate.
I already have a website. Can I just add store news to it?
Yes, on any plan and with no website add-on. Write posts in the dashboard's news panel and paste the news widget into your existing site. The widget needs your kiosk switched on, because it links through it.
Will Google find my store's website?
Each site publishes its own sitemap, Store and Product structured data on its pages, and a product feed you can submit to Google Merchant Center. Nothing guarantees ranking, but the site gives Google your live stock in the formats it reads.
