Who builds Foil Haven
Built at somebody else's counter.
I'm Richard Faherty. I've never owned a card shop — Deep Dive Games has three of them in Georgia, and theirs is the counter every decision in this software has to survive.

The honest part
I'm the software half
Plenty of store software gets written by people who have never priced a used binder or argued with a customer about a crease. I'd be one of them if I'd tried to do this alone. So I didn't.
Deep Dive Games runs three shops — Kingsland, Athens, and St. Mary's, Georgia. They're the design partner. Their buylist and the things that made them swear at their old system are what Foil Haven got built around. When a screen in here looks oddly specific, that's why.

Who answers support@
Me. I spent my Navy years on submarines as an electronics technician, which is mostly the job of chasing a fault through a system you can't see while people stand around waiting on you. I'm at Columbia now, still writing this in the gaps.
Foil Haven is one person. When the rest of the site says “we,” that's me being polite. You should know which way that cuts before you hand over your inventory: there is nobody above me to escalate to, and there is also nobody standing between you and the person who can change the code.

What's actually running
Every line below is live in the app right now, and nearly all of it traces back to something that happened at Deep Dive's counter.
Item-level inventory
Every physical card is its own record carrying its own cost. Margin on that copy is the real number instead of a shelf average.
Nightly pricing
TCGplayer market prices refresh every night and feed both the repricer and what you offer on a buylist.
The counter
A POS that takes cash, store credit, gift cards, and split tenders. Loyalty credit lands on the customer's account without anyone keying it in.
Buylist and trade-ins
Quote off the same prices the shelf is using, take the cards in, and the credit is already on their record when they walk out.
Customers
Who bought what, and what they're sitting on in store credit.
Public price lookup
A counter or kiosk screen customers can check a card on themselves, so a clerk doesn't lose four minutes to it.
Deck lists and sealed
Paste a deck list and it becomes an order. Booster boxes, sleeves, and the rest of the merch are tracked in the same place as the singles.
Shopify
Import your catalog, then push availability and price back out to the storefront.
Coming from BinderPOS
There's an importer for BinderPOS exports. It was validated against a real store's file — 49,798 rows of it.

Deep Dive Games
Three stores in Georgia: Kingsland, Athens, and St. Mary's. A working shop, not a case study — they take buylists on a Saturday, they get slammed, and they tell me plainly when something I shipped is annoying to use. Most of the list above exists because of one of those conversations.
That's the whole arrangement. One shop that sells cards for a living, one person who writes the code, and a short enough line between them that a complaint on Saturday can be a fix by Wednesday.
Kick the tires with your own inventory.
